There is science behind it all pmsl. I think it adds to the kit, we looks professional as fuck.

Just a note on the socks.
When you're playing a Premier League game at 100mph (it seems) you often have little time to think, to see a team mate, and make a pass. In this scenario you need whatever help you can get to find the right man. Those socks stand out so much that it will give our players that extra half second or so to see a team mate and make the pass quicker. I'm not sure how scientific they actually are, and if they have actually been designed that way but that was something I was told by a Premier League coach a while back. Basically that the players don't get chance to look for the whole team mate, it could be a sleeve, or a sock in the peripheral vision.
You might think that's complete bollocks, but try looking straight ahead and then have a plain colour in your side vision, as apposed to a stripey number attracting your attention. The same might be true of the home socks too with the maroon and white stripes.

I like them too but if it was me designing them i'd have made the hoops a bit bigger like the Ireland kit.

after watching the Sporting highlights with the full kit I think the socks look really smart. different yes, but stand out in a good way.<br /><br />-- Wed Jul 28, 2010 3:59 am --<br /><br />one thing I haven't heard about is the training gear. any mention of the launch for that on the OS?
