More than a game: How Premier League helps millions
At a Premier League Shareholders’ meeting today clubs agreed to prioritise the swift development and implementation of a new League-wide financial system.
This will provide certainty for clubs in relation to their future financial plans and will ensure the Premier League is able to retain its existing world-leading investment to all levels of the game.
Alongside this, Premier League clubs also re-confirmed their commitment to securing a sustainably funded financial agreement with the EFL, subject to the new financial system being formally approved by clubs.
The League and clubs also reaffirmed their ongoing and longstanding commitment to the wider game which includes £1.6billion distributed to all levels of football across the current three-year cycle.
The Premier League’s significant funding contributions cover all EFL clubs and National League clubs, as well as women and girls’ football, and the grassroots of the game.

The statement says nothing about aligning with UEFA SCR but Sky says it is. That wouldn't make much difference to the clubs in UEFA comps then would it?

It would just make sense.

It’s just another means to pull the draw bridge up and protect the “Big 6”. It’ll be the American brigade banging the drum. Wave after wave of rule changes to prevent NUFC and Villa getting any kind of foothold at the top in the hope that they’ll stop trying.

Can only hope that the likes of Sky and their ruined transfer deadline days and weeks programmes are reduced to nothing and that they make noises over a stunted product.

It is getting to something when Paul Merson can see what’s going on.

Big 6 .. AKA the big 4 until the rags couldn’t make that gig anymore…!!!
It will be the big 10 next season..!

Can only spend up to 85% of revenue on transfers and wages.
Rebranded way of protecting the richer clubs and putting a stop to rich owners pumping money into a club?

So if you're not in the top 4 or 6 places and playing European football you're fucked
Also, does it mean poor past revenues and debt over the last 3 seasons under FFP mean fuck all and everybody start again at a level playing field?

It sounds to me like it's letting United off any sort of punishment for poor debt and the last 3 seasons and failing FFP
