The way that Sultana assumed that they would all fall in line with her was very suspect. She tried to make a name for herself off the back of others, would never work, especially for a left leaning party.

Probably unsurprisingly, I disagree. Jezza comes out looking worse with the people that he's surrounded himself with. It's a shitshow all round though.

He never wanted to lead the labour party or be a PM. A blarite thought it would be funny to nominate and was shocked the membership voted him in.


He offered to form a unity government with the Lib Dems/Greens/SNP and others to prevent a hard brexit deal. I blame Jo Swinson for scuppering that.

I like Zara. I've met her a couple of times at union meetings. However I feel someone might have been whispering in her ear she could become the next great leader of the left. Like Corbyn I believe she's a better activist than a leader.

I'm really struggling to see anyone who has the gravitas to lead and unify a left wing party with the charisma to charm non political voters from the far right.

We need a functioning left wing party to challenge right and vice versa. Along with PR over FTTP. I belive that system would reflect a true representation of what really matters with regards all policies as a nation. But that's another debate.

Shades of Michael Foot. Principled, academic, smart but a hopeless leader.
 


I’m personally tired of the two main political parties and looking to research all the other candidates. The current government Starmer Reeves and Cooper all a disappointment, especially over Gaza that was one step to far.

The conservatives Johnson and the parties in Downing Street Truss crashing the economy and after Sunak a swing to the right.
 
Sultana is going into this with the best intentions.

She's a young with a strong sense of principles. Yet her interviews call out the greens and other parties with left leaning policies. She's adored by political lefties but I don't feel she has the ability to capture the non political voter.
