New ST rules & ticket transfers

So, if I understand all these new rules correctly, you can no longer sell/transfer your seat to a fellow Bluemooner, unless you have them already registered in your account as one of your three acceptable transferrees? I sold my seat two or three times last season on Bluemoon to complete strangers. It was very straightforward - they paid me, I transferred the ticket to them via the ticket section on my MCFC account and they would get to see a game for far less than having to buy a ticket from the club.

If that is no longer possible, I'm wondering why there are already numerous posts on here selling seats for the Spurs game? Won't all - or most - of these transactions be between complete strangers?

Or am I missing something here?
If they’re members you can add them at any time during the season. Its only non members you can’t add. It’s a way for City to make sure they pay!
 
Has anyone managed to list a non-member transfer yet? The blurb says

2. Nominate one, two or three people for “Non-Member Transfers”. This means that these nominated people do not require a membership to receive a transferred ticket. During the online journey you will need to assign this product to a nominated Friends and Family member. You can then transfer your tickets to these named supporters throughout the season, without them requiring a membership.

But under Manage my Ticket - I only get the option to "Strongly Link" This allows those people to not just receive a transferred ticket but in effect manage my ticket - which seems a bit more than non-member transfers.
I’ve done it. But I didn’t find it easy.
 
Presumably we can still use friends and family as before as long as those listed are members?
And if they’re not members, they could just buy a membership if they’re not on your non-member list, and then you can transfer your ticket?

Yes if those listed have paid membership for this year then it looks straightforward. This is for those who have a supporter number but don’t have paid membership because in the past amongst the group of us there have always been enough spares to look after them
 
From ‘manage’ there was a drop down ‘non members transfer option’. Are you getting that?
mm - no don't think I was - but at least I know what to look for. I haven't yet actually downloaded tickets onto my phone - wonder if that will make a difference. Job for this evening.

Is a member a season ticket holder? Or does a season ticket holder have to pay an additional fee to become a 'member'?

No. A member is someone who has bought one of city’s memberships. Not a season ticket holder.

It's very messy all of this. Have they announced which games are the guaranteed refunds yet?

I go to practically every home game so it doesn't really effect me so much, but when you 'transfer' it to somebody do they receive an email or does it go straight to their phone? As others have said you should be able to choose these 3 individuals as and when. I literally emailed them a few months ago and asked whether these 3 people needed nominating in advance and they categorically said 'no'. So I probably gave them the idea ffs.

How do you mean it goes to their phone? I assumed it would be like when I buy cup tickets and I get an email with a link in it to add the ticket to my google wallet. Unless that has now changed too.

That’s exactly it. It goes to their email to open on their phone. And put in the wallet. Now whether you can then forward that email to someone else? I’m not sure.
 
As far as I'm aware a season ticket includes match day membership.
If you try adding a fellow season ticket holder as one of your 3 non members it won't let you. This is because they are members and don't need to be added.
