What worries me about Hughes is the baffling decisions he make, eg:
- We won games early on away by having two holding players and hitting teams ont he break - so why at boro, bolton, Blabkburn, WBA, Wigan did he play 1 holding and four offensive midfielders.
- Playing SWP in central midfield - comical tbh from Boro away to Everton at home 8 games 4 points
- v Liverpool when Zabaleta got sent off he put Gelson at right back who preceded to get torn to shred by Yossi - and even before they equalised he could still have moved gelson to DM, Kompany to DC and Micah to RB.
- v Newcastle - we played against 10 men for 80 mins, had 74% of the possesion so why did he keep Hamann and Kompany on for so long - should of taken Haman of for Elano and had more creative spark.
- v Brighton he played Sturridge on the left and he was fucking awful - so after his 10 mins v Blackburn the obvious thing to do was.... play him on the left. And then because that didnt work put Gelson on the left!
- Play Ireland on the left or right - he is someone playing out of skin going box to box. We have looked fantastic with him on the ball in the middle of the park - so why has he taken to moving him out wide to fill in. Fulham in particular was screaming out for Ireland in the middle, instead we had SWP in the middle and Vassell doing who knows what
- Tal Ben Haim
- Loss of confidence - Dunne and Richard looked fantastic last year - and in previous years. Now they look nervous on the ball, unsure and indecisive in defence, this is a confidence issue and as manager this is Hughes' responsability.
- Total lack of unity and team spirit
- Bringing on Hamann when your 2-0 at home to a lower league team
- Derby Day - Taggart picks Park on the right to nullify Robinho, we have Ireland on the right against Evra. Evra was by far their best player because he knew he could bomb forward and has the pace to get back. SWP had a lot of ball n the middle but it was 'comfortable possesion' for them, whenever he did break free they brought him down. SWP on the right would of restricted Evra - particually when Ronaldo went off. Ireland would of been more effective in the middle and he should of brought Robinho in field to play off Benjani.
i could go on but its becoming a rant
