We've definitely needed 'The Equaliser' on occasion this season...Hmmmm wish we had Woodward instead..
I think the man's a complete and utter charlatan riding high on the back of happening to be at Barca at the right time but you obviously rate him so please tell me, apart from pick players on which to spend our money what does his job actually entail, what does he do all day to justify his massive wages and his position of influence ?

He's the person who made it the right time to be at Barcelona. He's the person who stood in front of the Barcelona board and told them not to hire the experienced, hottest manager on the market, Jose Mourinho, but instead hire the B team coach with no experience of senior management to take over in a time of crisis.
Whatever you think of his work at City, the idea he lucked into a Barca job at the right time is laughably stupid.

So he's loyal to his friends and very insightful when it comes to spotting who would be a good football manager. The Pep recommendation worked superbly well and Barca thrived.
However he comes to City with his insightful mind recommends Pellers to our board. The Pellers recommendation works less well and I think it's fair to say that most City fans think the team has gone backwards under Pellers.
So isn't Txiki as culpable for his bad recommendation at City as he was praiseworthy for his good recommendation at Barca ?
Am i missing something? Are there any other strings to his bow other than having recommended Pep to Barca the best part of a decade ago ?

Brilliant, you think he's a charlatan and you've decided that without even knowing what his job is. He's fooled Pep, Soriano. Khaldoun, Sheik Mansour plus all the other clubs that would jump at the chance to employ him but you've seen right through him.
