New technical director ?

Blue Moon and my clique !! I don`t have anyone who comes on BM to help me out in any debates and likewise I don`t follow anyone else.
I say it how it is,in my opinion. You`re welcome to yours also, but so far it appears that some of your comments are no more than wummery on this topic.
I notice you are making NO noises to discredit our Owner nor his number two Khaldoon. Now if anyone should be sacked .... who hired Txiki ??
How did he know your in the croquette league or what ever it's called these days, the bastards blackballed me

I think the man's a complete and utter charlatan riding high on the back of happening to be at Barca at the right time but you obviously rate him so please tell me, apart from pick players on which to spend our money what does his job actually entail, what does he do all day to justify his massive wages and his position of influence ?

Assuming that you are not on the WUM for a moment - you do really not understand the role of the DOF? Because that would surprise me. TB's role is in defining and executing the long-term football strategy for MCFC, building-on his experience as part of the team that transformed Barcelona from something similar to what City were in 2008 to the dominant force in European football that they ultimately became. That's what he being paid to do for us - define the strategy and execute the plan to deliver it. Simple.

Why do you say he's a charlatan? You're not Ibrahimovic are you?

Welcome to mine except when it displeases you in which case I'm categorized as a rag or a wum.

Re Khaldoon you're bang on. If the whole Pep gamble fails to pay off and half a decade after winning the league, which prompted widespread predictions of unrivalled dominance, we find ourselves as just another big club who usually make the top 4 but have only won the title once in the ensuing 5 years then his reasons for hiring Txiki and Sori should be looked at in depth.

One theory I have is that when Khaldoon first took the reins as a hugely successful man he tried to pull all the football strings himself by hiring a man he chose but when in his view the Mancini era turned sour maybe he decided to take a step back and delegate and what better delegates to appoint than those he thought were responsible for Barca's wondrous football at the time.

Hypothetically speaking who would you blame if Pep fails here ?

Barca were not something similar to what we were in 2008. They had Messi. They'd won the CL in 2006. They hadn't waited the best part of 40 years for a league title.

Based on that ridiculous notion should I assume that you're a WUM too !?

Very good. You didn't point out that they didn't play in Blue either.

Why not answer the question - why do you say he's a charlatan?

When Txiki took over? Yeah they had Messi, a 15 year old kid in their academy. That CL they won in 2006 was under Txiki's stewardship, he was DoF since 2003.

If we miss out on Champions League qualification then I think a lot of the points you're making are very valid.

For what it's worth I reckon the DoF role also has big part to play in the evolution of our academy and the influence here, in the younger age groups especially, looks very promising. Basic principles seem to be in place across the age groups, coach choices improving, consistent playing style etc..

However most fans only care about the here and now and that's our first team. I expect that we'll see changes in scouting etc., regardless of how the season turns out. It's very difficult to say we've had value for money with our recruitment, and in these situations the men/ man at the top don't/ won't want to take the flack and will kick someone, rightly or wrongly, further down the chain.

However, as crap as we've recently been, I'd rather wait until the end of the season before I definitely go one way or the other on the first team (since there's just under 25% of the league season still to play).

Hang on I`m not a fucking Member of the Buffs. ;) The way Hesh is carrying he might receive a couple of black balls.
If he had any balls and post what his previous user name, most have been on a while to have even heard of this mythical clack, been trying to narrow it down, it's not Fetters because he's not called me a **** :-)
