I think I'm hanging on for the G3 to come down in price when the G4 comes out in a few months. The G2 is a great TV but once I read many reviews saying that the G3 is so much better (brightness being the main one) that swayed me. But I appreciate you letting me know.

Need to decide on this or wait for the G3 to drop as Blue Maverick said. Looks like the new model might be March.

G3 down to 2099 now at usual places or 1979 at a place called Fenwick. I'm sure it was 2399 last week

If you can get a G3 the picture is even better with MLA technology, the C/G4 is due out next year depending on how long you can wait then there will be some good deals on, I got a 77 inch for just over £2k last years model which was £4k 18 months ago!

Not sure whether to get it or wait. How much more can it realistically come down by? I reckon 1500 is the lowest it could go and that could be a long time away.

Thanks for this. I've got a blue light code and I've signed up to the stock alert. I think I will just go for it when they come in.

Flipside is it might cost me more for a soundbar (if I want one) but I will worry about that at the time.

Can I ask why a G3? A G2 would be fantastic, the G3 is brighter but that depends on what your room is like. I got a 77 c2 in my cinema room yes it’s dark but it’s bright enough.

I suppose because the G3 (before the G4) is seen as one of the best OLED options. With the G4 coming out the price is coming down.

My current TV is way old (maybe 15 years, 1080p) so I thought if I'm buying one I may as well get the "best".

It's going on living room wall so there will be some reflection from the window. G3 is supposed to be good in that respect.

Ye true it’s more reflective than LEDs but OLED is supreme in picture quality, I’d not have anything else.
