New years eve

I have only been back in UK for 45 minutes so a Happy New Year to all. So nice to have carpet back under out feet!

The journey home was dreadful as we descended down through heavily ladened Cumulus. How the pilot found our runway in all that conundrum and mither I will never know.

As we were getting off the plane he came out of his cabin to greet us, and I told him what an incredible job he had just performed through adverse conditions. Like all good pilots he just wryly nodded and smiled and said "I just get on with it lad, that's all a man can do" Absolute heroes the lot of them and these are the real people who should get knighted.

Our journey home was unbelievably bad and the M60 was closed in 2 places with sever flooding and we had to make a detour through some backwater place called Denton to rejoin. On the Ashton A road we passed 2 severe accidents and can only hope that the occupants are safe and well.

If anyone on here is driving tonight then do take care and watch your speed.

Anyway a holidays nice but it is just that and not a way of life, and although we had a magnificent and fabulous run in the sun it is also good to be back home in dear old blighty.

You could have done it, it's easy, I've seen it on you tube.
If you clapped on landing, be ashamed
