According to some these programs are recorded months and months ago, slebs don't work New Years or Christmas they must have been rail workers in another life.

Also Christmas Eve, late 1980s. When pubs were everything to everyone, now not so much.

I'm in Tenerife which makes nights like these a bit more bearable. I'm not a youngster these days so getting hammered isn't my thing, though obviously I'll have a few. I like the fact you can walk about from bar to bar, though most are extremely busy. A lot are also charging and have become ticket only on NYE, something that didn't really happen when I first started coming over twenty years ago. Part of that is to keep the travellers out too. The highlight of the evening is watching the fireworks on the beach at midnight.
