New Years Honours list

I have long taken the view that honours should be reserved for acts of conspicuous bravery 'above and beyond the call of duty', whether by civilians, members of the emergency services or members of the armed forces.

Getting a knighthood for doing your job or making a shed load of cash for yourself, is a joke.

Honours for supporting a political party are even worse—corruption in plain sight.

Couldn't agree more. Just another anachronistic British "tradition" that needs binning.
