I think it's close to being brilliant. I don't think you need MCFC through the middle though when you've got the full name round the outside. It's kind of over egging the pudding.

problem is its old looking. a symbol where the club was 30-40 years ago etc. everything is about bradning, marketing and commercialism nowadays ... and sorry to say, the old badge symbolises the old City in branding terms.
like it or not ... we have a new generation of fans, far and wide ...... we have 4 crests, seemingly for each generation .... so ts something thet will never be agreed on. No doubt there will be another badge, but it will represent the generation that it belongs to.

i think why we have never gone back to the previous badge, is because it is actually 40 years out of date.
This was created in 1972, it was updated from the previous one by adding the Lancashire Rose in the lower half of the shield.
In 1974, Manchester was removed from the county of Lancashire to form Greater Manchester.
So for the last 40 years, MCFC hasn't been part of Lancashire .... so I think thats why its never even thought classed as a thought to go back to it. It will remain in the past where it belongs probably, as the club focuses on the future.
