Maybe with a couple of big names being added to the team it'll buck his ideas up. He was outstanding in the first game so maybe the poor qualityof the team in general has been getting him down.
 
In the first 3 games he was doing everything, but some of the other players are conference standard. There seems a real lack of confidence and cohesion. the Phillie win meant a lot, possibly with the calming influence of Frank and if they do also sign Pirlo, they may have a far better second half of the season.

Isn't Pirlo only joining next season?
 
Villa is looking a bit frustrated, and showing a bit of petulance at times. But I wouldn't criticise his effort and workrate. Seems to be working as hard as ever from what I've seen.
