New York

I've been twice in October half term and the weather was perfect. Lovely and warm about 22 degrees and sunny, although on our last trip we took one of the last flights out before the hurricane hit! Hope you have a great time.

I'm in New York State that week - booked it months ago and prices are sh*t - will be in NYC Sunday/Monday 26th/27th - but am in a stonking hotel on Times Sqare for abso-fucking-lutely nothing (points woman) - going to p*ss fifty bucks down the drain for valet parking too!

We're thinking of a trip the last week of October (half term) for a couple of nights. The first site I've checked for packages is British Airways which I expected to be top end and wasn't disappointed, anything from £1500 per person all in. Can any of you cosmopolitan types point me in the direction of where we might get total cost down to a grand?

Is October a good time to go? Is there a bad time?
Dunno much about the place, however I will start spreading the news that your leaving someday...

Very good, Strongbow - I spilled my Fosters !

When we went in October and it never stopped raining but it didn't stop us from having a fantastic time . Lots to see and do .

Remember to factor in an extra $100 just for tipping, that's the only downside to the US everyone expects a tip.

I went to New York back in 83, to see the Mr Olympia in Madison sq garden, think it was oct and it was cold, and I wasn't that impressed, the place was a bit rough and noisy. mind you not been back since.
