You can't win it every year but you will never win it with the defence as is. Laporte a huge miss especially given Vinny moving on. For me I thought Marhez was absolutely rubbish today - went missing and I cannot recall him taking a player on. He was signed to be the player to make a difference when teams sit back - I'd rather let him go to Bayern and give Sane a huge wage rise. Kev's wonder strike wasted which is sad. Jesus not yet the finisher that Sergio is but you cannot concede two goals by giving a player at this level so much time. Gutted.

This is down to Pep, the team is not playing with the same intensity and the build up is to slow and ponderous, we don't have the movement around the box we had last season. neither are we getting to the dead ball line as much as we did. Most of our play is in front of defenders and we are not getting in behind,

What a pile of fucking dogshit in front of goals we are, bar the 2 actual goals scored. Too slow in the build up, and laughable finishing.

Combined with drunken sailor defending and a shithouse referee and we drop more points against a fucking awful team. They are fucking laughable going forward yet scored 2....

After the last two seasons and with key players leaving, we had earned the chance to blood youngsters in games. I'm more annoyed we're not doing that than not challenging the dippers. Success will come again, no danger of that, but feels like we're missing an opportunity in setting up the team for the future.

Even with so few chances we managed to piss away easy goals. Raheem and Jesus atrocious finishing and general play. Mahrez plays one good game then goes anonymous for five. Mendy is technically done as LB for us. Lost all his pace and can’t cross to save his life. David is getting worse every game with his distribution. Gundogan is Gundogan. Fernandinho is not a CB, neither is Stones. Honestly only KDB, Walker and Ederson put somewhat of a performance into this game. No kidding by Sam Lee, we have a rebuilding project on our hands.
