Andy Townsend is another biased city hating prick as wellEven having to mention the deflection for the goal ffs. It was going in anyway. Silly cow.

Sense imo. What was that with the corners at the end????!
Me neither. Kevin is aiming to slide the ball through small gaps - it won't always come off but it's not poor play. He's the assist king.Really don't agree, de Bruyne often tries an ambitious pass, rhodri generally links play and intercepts and nudges play along. De Bruyne s run made the gap for fodens goal
That's great, but he does other passes of 5-10 yards that he misses, he's woefully out of for form me.Me neither. Kevin is aiming to slide the ball through small gaps - it won't always come off but it's not poor play. He's the assist king.
Off day FFS don't believe your postThat's great, but he does other passes of 5-10 yards that he misses, he's woefully out of for form me.
It's normal - all great players have dips - but he also worked his arse off. If I'm being brutally honest, we played a few spongy looking passes from our back four. When John comes back he'll improve our distribution from defence. That's great, but he does other passes of 5-10 yards that he misses, he's woefully out of for form me.
De Bruyne 5, Grealish 9 ?Ederson, 6 - Distribution was mental but was otherwise fine, well done on 100 clean sheets
Walker, 7 - Kept Gordon and ASM relatively quiet today, apart from a couple of moments
Akanji, 6 - Generally fine but always has a "hologram" moment in him, where you can see he's there but defenders just go straight through him as if he's not
Dias, 7 - Was really good at the basics today and stepped into midfield a couple of times
Ake, 9 - My personal MOTM, a real star at the moment
Rodri, 7 - Did all the simple stuff well today, struggled a bit when Newcastle made their subs
De Bruyne, 5 - Pushed hard but rushed it on occasion, he's starting to wane now, what a player he's been
Gundogan, 6 - Unlucky not to score early on, was otherwise a bit mixed
Foden, 8 - What a goal, should have had another in the second half
Haaland, 8 - Looks like a part of the team now, loved his celebration for Bernardo's goal
Grealish, 9 - Never seen such a talented grafter before, gives absolutely everything
Special mention for Bernardo as well.
He was excellent at Arsenal and Bristol. He has been I’ll, so perhaps not back to full fitness yet. Quite a few had episodes of awfulness today, our passing apart from the front three was woeful at times. And has been for a while, sadly.
I keep saying it, he's peaked. Will always conjure up a moment of true brilliance, hopefully as our ultimate, big game player, but all the games of the last couple of years have caught up with him.
We have to use him carefully and hopefully he can recharge his batteries this summer.
Brighton away say HiThe Arsenal game aside, today was the toughest game we have left and we came through it with aplomb. Dias and Ake were excellent at the back, our midfield were at it and Bernie coming on for the misfiring KDB was a master stroke.
Big 3 points regardless of all the knicker wetting which will ensue on here from Arsenal’s win. Only 5 points in it with a dozen games left to play.
Must have been God that got an assist today then!!Great win but its still a concern whether we are playing with 10 men when Haaland doesnt score.
Exactly mate, there comes a time where it’s not so much what you can still do, but more what you can recover from, and 2 full-ish games in 7/8 days is way too much for most players 30 and over let alone 3, especially midfielders, even Kyle (who’s a world class athlete), can no longer do those marauding runs AND get back like he used to all game. And has been for a while, sadly.

You mean like Bodyline?Cricket Blue, the best way I can describe it is like when Australia bowled underarm.
(Edit. Are you familiar with the term sledging in cricket too?)
