I thought Laporte was excellent today to be honest.
Me, too. He and Stones are going to become an awesome partnership.
I thought Laporte was excellent today to be honest.
Seems some of our support smoke spice whilst watching the game.I thought Laporte was excellent today to be honest.
Fernandinho shite again.
Only barged blokes twice his size out of the way, time & again, stopped Newcastle winning 57 free fucking headers & filled every fucking gap our completely attacking overloaded team needed filling, in order to function.
But he gave the ball away a few times, unlike our other midfielders, who were all brilliant at both ends.
So let's drop him.
For fucks sake.
I'd lve some of you fucking lot to put that idea to Stones & Laporte.
Plus, he was our only midfielder in the first half. Sterling and Mahrez out wide and Silva was part of a front three with Jesus and Aguero.
Thought he did pretty well in the circumstances.
He made a few bad choices in possession, literally A FEW.
He made lods of fucking brilliant ones & was, as you say, the sole person responsible for the main part of City's midfield, attacking & defending, & is probably the ony player most people know about, on Earth, who is capable of doing that job, as it was done today.
Which other player can do, that variety of jobs ?
We lacked our controlling midfielders. Ilkay and Bernardo coming on made us secure.
I don't think 'controlling' was part of the plan for midfield, it was 9 players try to unpark the bus & Fernandinho try to run around fixing everything else, everywhere.
When I read comments about him, on here, I can understand why so many people don't realise how good Colin Bell was.
