Mangala at LB is a terrifying prospect... Zinchenko everytime for me.

Whoever plays there will be the weak link and will get targeted by the opposition.

I'm confident we'll win this one, but not quite in agreement with some of you that it will be a walk-over. Remember, this is the same Newcastle team that we struggled past 1-0 just after Christmas with them playing the most negative tactics I have ever seen of any opponent on their own ground (literally stopping running as soon as the ball crossed the half way line in the first half). And they nearly got something from the game when they suddenly seemed to wake up in the last ten minutes. I'm sure it'll be different at our place, but still think we'll need to grind out a result against a team with 10 men unwilling to leave the penalty box.

It gets said so often, but an early goal is imperative. Another start like Watford would be ideal.

The reason we struggled is because we missed chance after chance
I don't see anything other than us scoring at least five

Get out of the blocks quickly, score early and their heads will drop

Bernardo absolutely deserves to start this one imo

I have to agree, if Merlin isn’t available.
His energy and enthusiasm lifted us against Victimpool. He just needs to play in place of Gundy. Let him show his worth in there. There’s no doubting his skill and class, can he deputise for Merlin? I think he could, if given the run of games to show his potential in that position. Victimpool shit themselves when he had the ball, always at least doubling up on him.

Danilo should never be used as a LB EVER!! He’s like bambi on ice. I would rather see Zinchenko there, at least he offers variety and speed.
