I don't think you can afford to start him with 3 subs tbh, I think it's a shame but we have shown huge patience. Has to be 4th choice now the risk is too big. He must be in a dark place mentally.

I knew he'd get injured when I seen his name on the team sheet. He can only play once a week now, he doesn't have the legs to play more games in a week.

Unfortunately we’ll have dips in our performances but what matters is we got through it and saw out the win. Some comments here are over the top.

Sterling MOTM closely followed by Otamendi.
Sterling was top class today, took his goal well and some of his dribbling was unreal. Confused him for Neymar a couple of times :)

Otamendi’s clearance was as good as a goal. Flawless in defense once again and looks a threat at set pieces.

Can’t understand the Jesus criticism, his first touch and link up play was great, should of had an assist for De Bruyne. He needs to learn to stay onside more often though.

Aguero played well. Was unlucky not to score. Didn’t have the easiest of chances tonight. Could of done better but it’s not like he was missing sitters.

Walker could of cost us a goal but other that one incident wasn’t as bad as many say here. Not his best game but he has had worse for us in the CL.

Shame Kompany got injured. Can’t understand how he often gets injured in the first minutes, quite strange. Hopefully we can manage to buy a CB in January. I know he wants to go to the WC but with his fitness, I’m not sure he is even worth a place to be brutally honest.

Ederson’s distribution was something else. Loved his diving gesture towards Gayle after his booking.

But to be fair, Kompany and Mangala have bridged the gap until Stones is fit again.

We've had a 7, a 6, and a couple of 5's already, scored 5 against Liverpool, 4 in Naples, 4 against Spurs, so a scrappy 1-0 win is also good.

I think they'll get praised for beating us rather than how, unless the team that beats us puts in a 5 star performance
