He’s good friends with Darren Eales our CEO who was diagnosed with blood cancer early in the season and will be stepping down.
It’s believed the new CEO is wanting their own DOF brought in, and with Eales leaving, it’s wise of him to leave.

If we have a poor season, or get deep into a season and do not look like we’ll finish high up like we did last season until December, then Howe will be pushed by the owners regardless.

This is going to be a big summer for us. We’ve got a lot of PSR headroom to bring some players. We’ll get a new CEO and now DOF. We’ll also be changing our club badge (which won’t happen until the 26/27 season) which will have fans voting on their favourite option, and we’ll likely heard more about our new stadium.
 
Mutual consent officially. Club statement mentions CEO Darren Eales who recruited him leaving soon (due to illness) so could be that whoever is replacing Eales wanting to bring their own man in. Or indeed could be a power play by Eddie 'Amin'. Apparently there was a meeting with all the higher ups Sunday night so obviously has happened on the back of that. Never seemed like a good fit imo anyway. Will be interesting to see what th next move is from here.

I think your bench is brutal weak, likes of Targett, Lascelles, Wilson, Longstaff almost all should be upgraded.
4 of the 7 best defenders over 33-34 age? needs to come down too.
I just noticed you have 5 keepers all above age 30 LOL, why not sign a young one like Trafford, and get rid 4x old ones, keep Pope maybe.

what about Livramento, Isak, will you be able to keep them with the CL now?

with extra 8 CL games and some of those will be Real, PSG, Atletico etc., Howe is in for a brutal first 6 months of the season. as Spurs and rags likely will not be that shit again...

you need serious a window and getting in right too.

It’s rumoured to be about £250m without sales.

A GK is an area we are looking to upgrade and we are heavily linked with Trafford, with some reports saying a deal is already in place.

Yes, if we didn’t get Champions League then we may have been prone to big bids for our players, but right now, we look like we are on the up. Of course like any player, any new contracts they sign will have release clauses in them, so every journalist will still be flogging our players regardless, because god forbid we are allowed good players.

Our squad depth is poor, and those players you mentioned are all players who we will aim to improve. A couple of them have been linked away. Longstaff is apparently a target for Leeds. Wilson is out of contract although we have apparently offered him a performance related 1 year extension, I wouldn’t, and hopefully he gets an offer from elsewhere to save us from bringing him on in the 80th minute.
Lascelles will probably stay as 5th choice CB, but would be a decent buy for a newly promoted club, or Championship club.
The only player who I think we will have trouble getting rid of is Targett, he’s on too high a wage and not played any serious minutes for years now.

We had it all the time with our players in the early years post-takeover, especially Sergio, who was supposed to be joining FC Franco several times every close-season, even his first year, after THAT goal.

We don’t have it as much nowadays, so I hope your board hold their nerve and you become our main rivals in the next few years.
 
If we do sell Isak, which I don’t think will be this year, I think we’ll sell abroad.

Most of the latest rumours have came from Ben Jacobs, so you know it’s fucking bullshit and Qatari paid misinformation designed to unsettle the player and team.
