We have no need to sell due to PSR, and we’ll have a decent budget this summer, but not as high as the other top 6 clubs. Estimates of our budget are usually between £150m-£200m.

The turnover aspect is in addition to the current PSR rules. Our wage bill is below 70%.

Yup that's the reason, our badge has been roughly the same design with a few tweaks, the Geordie badge is going completely by the looks of it. This abomination is being considered :)

It’s not being considered at all.
According to the fan engagement consultation they did, they are looking for a simplified version of our current badge. A circular badge is out of the equation. We actually have a circular badge from before that one, rather similar to yours. For the record it is legally defined as a heraldic badge and thus can be regarded as a coat of arms, 1 of only 24 clubs who have that legal definition for their club badges (Yes, you are included in that).
Anyway in recent years they have used that badge a lot and a lot of people, myself included thought that we would end up with a more modern version of that, however that is not the case either.

I’m anticipating that they will release more information on the badge fairly soon, and we will likely have a number of options which fans will have the ability to vote on, hopefully limited to season ticket holders and paid members.
