Newcastle United (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

On a side note, did Ederson completely forget he was on a yellow when he decided to stop the game for what felt like an eternity? It felt like he was pushing it as far as he could to get a booking but forgot he was already booked.

Distinct lack of pace throughout the team today, all very pedestrian. Not a big fan of Doku, he gives the ball away far too much, and Silvinho has hardly played....but one of them needs to start, especially if Foden doesn't.

Doku has had his fair share of good games. And Pep must think the same as he gives him a plenty of minutes.

The second half against Chelsea was very good from him right?

He did have a very good second half against Chelsea, he also had a very good second half against United in the FA cup final.

I still don’t see how that challenges my original point that he’s been an average signing overall and had one great game for us.

He has the attributes to be up there with the very best but consistently flatters to deceive for me.

Wtf.
You’re putting words into my mouth.
I’ve blamed him for his poor defensive position, which ultimately led to a penalty being awarded and costing us the goal.
Playing players onside happens the problem is the scapegoating of Kylie Walker. Other than him playing him onside he had a good game. Ederson flying out and giving the referee a decision to make is arguably more at fault, has anybody had a go at Eddie? Kylie Walker is just the latest in a long line of City player to be the latest boo boy.

Very true, can't disagree. I think if Bobb was fit, he would play in front of Doku.

He’s 22. People wrote Salah of at that age. He has the attributes is fans just need to trust Pep and the club.

at this rate we are finishing behind the cole palmer team. never mind the dippers and cockneys

Always disappointing not to win, especially when it’s because of a soft penalty, but it’s a tough away ground and we’re without two of the best midfielders in the world.

Just have to make sure we win our next one.
