Newcastle United (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

It’s a result you can only really evaluate after our competitors play later on…could prove to be a decent point.

I think Pep needs to try and figure out the parked bus though. Arsenal last week and these this with a low block which always seems really effective against us…..

nah, Doku is not average signing. More faith in Nunes, do not make final call just yet. Signing replacement for Rodri has obvious complications, Philips on the paper looked decent at the time

I can only assume that you think Doku has been a shite signing then. No one can possibly think he’s been a good signing for us. He’s had one great game for us since he’s been here and offers absolutely nothing.

He keeps making fuck ups thats why. He’s in the team for his pace on the counter. Last 2 games up there he’s done shite on their 3 goals. Add to the fact he gives us fuck all going the other way. What’s he contributing currently?
Again you are scapegoating Kyle for the lack of creativity the midfield and forward should.be doing.

Watch again and I bet you Kyles performance isn't as bad as you think

Gordon left his leg in for the pen then went down as if shot before remarkable recoveries, why isn't this mentioned in commentary? Howe always does the same, plays for a point

Re. the pen. Haven't seen it , and I don't trust Bluemoon assessments of penalties against us, by and large (except my own!) — but the guy on the OS is going on and on about it, and seems genuinely outraged. According to him, VAR flagrantly did not do its job. Comments?
Sounds like we should have won, especially with chances at the end. Who needs Rodri? I'll take the point.

I think it is important to remember that if not for a blatant dive, we would have gone to St. James with Rodri, Kev, Ake, with a hobbled Haaland and not-yet fit Foden, and gotten all three points.
They were missing their best player too in fairness…

Every player does it these days and more often than not gets the pen because the refs are spineless.

Peps tactics work for control in midfield. But creativity isn’t there. I don’t think a Kev makes a differences either. With Rodri out you need two midfielders to replace what he does in this team. But then Gundo is better in Peps tactics due to his press resistant abilities. Kev takes risks with Rodri there you can take those risky passes as Rodri sweeps up if they don’t come off with Rodri out. You’ve got to rely on two players that don’t have that in their game or need to learn it.
