BarmBecause we were on a roll
BarmBecause we were on a roll
With you on thisWatching it back, to be honest, it’s nothing more than just a little bit of a kick on the side of the leg, VAR was right to ask the ref to check it and the ref was right to amend his original decision.
We don’t always have to look for a big conspiracy against us or that some giant mistake has been made. It seems like every time we drop points it’s the referee’s, linesmen, VAR, the Premier League or UEFA’s fault.
Agree with a lot of that apart from Silva. Felt he was wasted out wide todayExcellent entertainment.
Newcastle made it uncomfortable for a lot of the game with their quick, aggressive, front-foot defending.
We did give psossession away a bit too much but we still had far more of the ball. They were a threat on the counter but we should have defended better at times and certainly on their goals. The third was a result of Stones being over anxious of the threat from St Maximin and diving in.
Great character, again to come back from 2 down. Unfortunately Pope kept them in it throughout.
Thought Trippier should have been sent off, that challenge was knee high, and they didn't half foul our top players.
Geordie's whistling for the end tells its own tale.
Bernie has to stay, MotM for us.
Those words aren’t in the laws of the game.
Absolutely. Kevs been kicked harder by his dog than that tackle today.Watching it back, to be honest, it’s nothing more than just a little bit of a kick on the side of the leg, VAR was right to ask the ref to check it and the ref was right to amend his original decision.

In this game it might be fair to give Newcastle a little credit!Impressed by our substitutions today...
Absolutely shite performance. Worst in a very long time. Too much fannying about leading to poor passing and an over-reliance on KDB to create anything. How Foden wasn't subbed I'll never know, he was shite.
I have no problem losing Sterling and Jesus. They were shit the past two seasons compared to our level.I think this iteration of the side might be the weakest since Pep built the 2017/18 side. The balance doesn’t feel good and we have no depth at all. The importance of the players that have left has been seriously undervalued by the fans IMO.
I still expect we’ll win the league because Liverpool don’t look up to it, but currently this side doesn’t get close to 17/18, 18/19 or 20/21 for me.
It was Stone's first game of the season, and unexpected at that, Stones was one of our players of the season last year, bit harsh tbhReally worried if Ake is injured cause stones was absolutely shocking today and that can sometimes be a harbinger for him.
Some really poor performances today, but I thought Foden was particularly poor. Young players have a dip after a rapid rise. I hope his is short.
Problem is we have to put a team out for Barca
No one can think that of Foden - he is widely recognised, with Haaland, as the best young player in the world. He has not had the best start to the season but to suggest he has become an automaton is too far, IMO.Pep turned him into an automaton like everybody else, because it is all about the system. He's been sacrificed for the good of the team. He's barely trying to do anything individually.
Would you be saying that if he'd have caught the back of Kevs knee and put him out for 6 months. Like Trent on Sane.Watching it back, to be honest, it’s nothing more than just a little bit of a kick on the side of the leg, VAR was right to ask the ref to check it and the ref was right to amend his original decision.

Yea but he can produce one moment of magic and bam we back. Not like other played that well lolYoudont want mahrez when there is real battle in a match...he wilts
The guys a c*nt, f*ck him. Anti city at every opportunity. Get it enough without our past players sticking the knife in all the time. I hope he has a bad bad case of the trots.Calm down fella, it's a game of opinions. Your comment is rawk mentality. There's enough hate in the world without wishing "the worst' for people.
