I take it you aren't one of them.
No I'm not but thats not relevant is it? I do plenty of cup aways where we've fielded weaker sides, we've still won the majority of them but theres been a few we've lost and i didnt feel i was entitled to witness a stronger lineup. Saw us lose to west ham and southampton last few years, I was at old trafford in peps first season where he played all the kids and basically threw the derby, i even went to chelsea away under pellegrini when he told us beforehand he was going to play the kids and we got absolutely smashed. I went knowing a pasting was likely and i never felt like I was owed a first team lineup just as those going tomorrow aren't owed anything.

All the sub players NEED to play, I'd be shocked if we didn't start any of these based on Pep's comments about being fresh for the premier league. My guess is this:

Ortega

Rico
3 defenders who are fit

Phillips
Nunes

Doku
Bobb
Gomez

Haaland

Please rest Alvarez he runs like crazy and played non-stop. Haaland's game is such that he can play 90 mins every game and I don't think he'd be that tired because he doesn't press as crazy as others on the team.

Gomez should be given a chance on the LW again, putting Doku RW.

Rico is guaranteed to start, I put him RB as its more natural for him, and Doku can cut in, but wouldn't be surprised if Pep plays him LB, and plays a defensive player RB.
I will be amazed if Haaland starts this match.

I thought it would be a mix of eds and 1st team but looks like it's just the 1st team squad. Playing the fittest available-
Ortega
Lewis akanji gviadol gomez

Phillips kovicic

Docu bobb grealish

Alverez

Strong bench with plenty of changes in the 2nd half
