You'd think Newcastle would be doing better with manager of the year Alan Pardew at the helm.

Not only that but they have some very good players. Certainly should be at least in the Top 10 with what they have, not barely surviving. Europa League might have taken its toll on them though.

People have to look deeper into thsi season than last.

Last season they had an element of suprise about their work and they had a midfield of Tiote and Cabaye that worked wonder. Ba and Cisse were magnificent too as lomng with their brilliant back line.

This season they have had unrivalled injuries, a UEFA Cup campaign and sold their best striker whilst also bedding in players mid season when they should've been bought end of last season.

Pardew was failed by the board and they have had a more challenging season this year, not hard to see why they're struggling.
