Fucking hell. Stones will never be reliable.
You’ve missed out https://trainguy.co.uk?f=geoff-lintonPope
Tripper, Schar, Botman, Burn
Tonali, Bruno, Tonali
Almiron, Isak, Barnes
Midfield is strong but that defence can be got at.
Is Tonali really that good?Pope

As per the source who first revealed Dias wasn't in the squad on Friday
And I bet the Geordies are expecting a tough fixture against a very good city side. ;)Tough fixture, against a very good Newcastle side. Hopefully, Stones, Bernardo and Dias will be back.
Ederson
Walker Stones Dias Gvardiol
Rodri Kovacic Foden
Bernardo Haaland Grealish
They are hungrier, fitter than we are at this moment- it's not that we can't win- it's just that this fixture may have looked less a nail biter it if were a month from now with some lower level wins and more fitness under us.Must be missing something. We are the quadruple winners with the best goal scorer in the world and some fans are worried about playing a team with Dan Burn & Kieran Trippier in it at home. Yes they are decent but not world beaters and last night was important to get minutes in the legs. Its 3 days to the next match which is no different to any CL match last season.. Get Berny, Ruben, John in and maybe Alvarez to increase the pressing intensity, especially against Pope who is bobbins with the ball at his feet and we will win, which we normally do against this lot. Not saying it will be easy but not one I'm that worried about. Be more worried if it were Arsenal/Dippers..

Stones is injured sadly..............Ederson..............
........Walker Dias Ake
........ Stones Rodri .........
Foden Bernardo Kova Grealish
............. Haaland .............
Etihad under the lights, first game back atmosphere will be electric, fans will be the 12th man, we should win this.
As usual we'll dominate the ball with whatever system Pep picks, I'd like to see the return of inverted Stones to neutralize Bruno and Joelinton in midfield. Dias will return and Walker to captain the side. The intensity of the game may be to much too soon for Gvardiol and he took a nasty stamp on the ankle last night.
Question is whether N'castle will sit in a low block or press agressively from the front, if its the later Kovacic to play instead of Alvarez as one of the double 10s for his retention ability.
Our lack of creativity means it'll probably be a game of attrition, lots of possession without penetration, Kova and Bernie two very similar players in the 10s in my opinion is better than Phil playing there.
