The TV gods dictate when the games are played. Remember it is TV money which pays a lot of the inflated wages in the industry. With respect to this fixture the evening kick off will suit our players if not a lot of fans. City 2 Barcodes 2 is a likely result.

I think the highlight on Saturday will be the parading of 4 trophies. Can’t see us performing particularly well in the match due to the lack of recovery time from an energy sapping night in Athens yesterday.

I am very hopeful that we will win but have to acknowledge how impressive Howe has been for Newcastle. He has built a good team who are strong top 4 contenders in a relatively short space of time and seems to be getting great performances out of players who are not that high profile.
I thought that he was just a stop gap before a bigger name was appointed but he is doing well. The big test will be whether he can take them to a level where they really compete for trophies. I would be going all out for one of the domestic cups as we have seen what a Catalyst that can be.
