We are currently the team sat on the perch, and breaking into the top four, let alone winning the league, is even harder now than it was a decade ago. Spurs, Arsenal and Leicester will be the teams watching their back in the short term, and then Liverpool post-Klopp after that.
The magpies will be on their own perch...

Warren Barton on sly with a wee dig about City crowds and their rammed stadium with folk hanging off the rafters.

They were having to literally give away tickets recently to get people in the ground. They were letting season card holders have free additional half season tickets, as the ground was half empty.

"Geordie nation, best fans in the word" my arse.

I have a few mates who follow them, who are good lads, but all the shite the media come out with about them being somehow better or more passionate fans is bollocks.

A large percentage of them are very quick to turn on the team also when it's not going that well. Probably like us if this forum is anything to go by though!

Fuck I would not want the Saudis running City.

Wasn't too long ago I would have had the Nazis if they got me to Wembley. Let's be honest, most people couldn't give two fucks regarding owners. It's used as some stick to beat rival supporters with. For example, I've just had a look over on Redcafe's Middle East thread. Didn't read one post from the usual suspects, usually seen banging the human rights drum on every City related topic. Find that a bit strange considering how much it concerns these faux raged bellends.

I don’t think FFP will be too much of a barrier to them to be honest. The main thing they have to get right is they need a big name manager right away. We made the mistake of giving Hughes a chance for a season and a half with the money and although he brought in some good players, most of those were signed just before the money (Kompany, Zabaleta etc). You can’t afford to waste money on your Santa Cruz’s in the FFP age.

If they fuck around with Bruce then they’ll end up with the likes of Chris Smalling and Michael Keane coming in on big contracts and slowing the project down. They need to make a statement and get Conte, with a few hundred million invested over a few seasons they’ll be challenging at the top.
