Not sure they will be able to buy enough players in jan to keep them up this season

Watford and Norwich are certain to go down IMO so it's going to be a shootout for Newcastle, Burnley and maybe Southampton.

After a few years of a really weak feeling league, we are finally approaching the strongest PL in my memory, I think we are going to see all 3 promoted sides getting relegated becoming the norm soon.

Ambitious projects like Villa, Wolves, Brighton, Leeds and Brentford have really reduced the number of relegation candidates.

if Newcastle do manage to muscle in on the CL, that means Yankee Red Sox teams fighting over one spot, if we say City, Chelsea and Toon take the others. Expect ESL 2 proposal any time soon.

The good news is it's one less Yankee club, because we are in real danger of American owners controlling the PL and reshaping it to suit their model - no investment, no relegation, large profits to suck out.

I like the Geordies. Great away game. I really hope this works out for them and they are turned into challengers. But it took an awful long time to get the deal over the line. Surely the new owners could have just bought off any objectors or done what the Saudis allegedly did to that journalist in Istanbul? Or have they just been bought by another set of skint billionaires?

Agreed, not happy for them at all but will be happy that another club can put the squeeze on the red axis of evil.
