Not sure they will be able to buy enough players in jan to keep them up this season

Watford and Norwich are certain to go down IMO so it's going to be a shootout for Newcastle, Burnley and maybe Southampton.

After a few years of a really weak feeling league, we are finally approaching the strongest PL in my memory, I think we are going to see all 3 promoted sides getting relegated becoming the norm soon.

Ambitious projects like Villa, Wolves, Brighton, Leeds and Brentford have really reduced the number of relegation candidates.

I messaged my Geordie mate and told him to enjoy the ride, the first few years will be amazing with a better class of player arriving. BUT prepare yourself for when you gain some success,

It was bad enough us breaking into the top 4 at the expense of Arsenal, if they break in at the expense of the Rags or Dippers then there will be hell to pay.

Anyone thinking “Toon” will be held in the contempt by the media as City should think again. Toon are a “sleeping giant” who “deserve” to be at the top table, all the faux outrage at human rights abuse will disappear overnight, the shit thrown at City is simply because we should know our place, the script is Man Utd are the famous Manchester team, City are a joke club with no fans. Now the red Yankee gang may be a bit pissed off, but don’t expect the decade plus hate campaign we have had.
Nailed it!

I like the Geordies. Great away game. I really hope this works out for them and they are turned into challengers. But it took an awful long time to get the deal over the line. Surely the new owners could have just bought off any objectors or done what the Saudis allegedly did to that journalist in Istanbul? Or have they just been bought by another set of skint billionaires?
