Kudos to Tom Parmenter on Sky news saying how AD have transformed the club and east Manchester with their investment
Positively eulogising about us
Is he a blue?

The fact the the PL have effectively capitulated to Newcastle's demands tells you everything you need to know about the corrupt set up and funding of the league from day 1 (cartel clubs).

The absolutely didn't want any of that to come out in discovery.
I thought exactly that, some uncomfortable stuff about the Hateful Eight and their undue level of influence on the Premier League, including united and liverpool alone effectively being allowed to ‘vet’ the appointment of Richard Masters as chief exec, was due to come out in the High Court

Surely they can’t just splash the cash with FFP, they need to have the income to justify the cost, that won’t happen overnight, that’s why City did what they did at the start with Robinho etc Newcastle can’t do that.

I don’t think FFP will be too much of a barrier to them to be honest. The main thing they have to get right is they need a big name manager right away. We made the mistake of giving Hughes a chance for a season and a half with the money and although he brought in some good players, most of those were signed just before the money (Kompany, Zabaleta etc). You can’t afford to waste money on your Santa Cruz’s in the FFP age.

If they fuck around with Bruce then they’ll end up with the likes of Chris Smalling and Michael Keane coming in on big contracts and slowing the project down. They need to make a statement and get Conte, with a few hundred million invested over a few seasons they’ll be challenging at the top.
Fuck hadn’t thought of that aspect with that twunt at the charge he could clear the rags debt in his quest for top 10

Doesn't bode well for Steve Bruce. When you've been in the wilderness for as long as Newcastle have, and we were, it becomes the norm and expectations from all quarters are rock bottom. Newcastle need a Mancini type figure, someone who'll come in, shake the place up, raise expectations and standards. Like Mancini, he probably won't have a long shelf life but the club from top to bottom needs a rocket up them.

The single best thing they could do would be to hire Ralf Rangnick. He is literally the man for this job. He was behind the Schalke team that challenged bayern in the early 00's and made sure their academy was the best in Germany. When Dietmar Hopp decided he wanted Hoffenheim to be good, Rangnick sorted out the entire structure of the club and got them promotions back to back which lead to them being in the CL and a mainstay in the Bundesliga.

When Deitrich Mateschitz wanted Red Bull football to be good, he hired Rangnick as head of football development for bother RB Leipzig and RB Salzburg and he built up their incredible scouting network, and academies and got Leipzig into the Bundesliga.

Hire Mateschitz, let him manage until the end of the season then be DOF after that.

They'll probably just hire Eddie Howe though.
