I don't particularly welcome Saudi ownership of NUFC. it's not like City who are privately owned by a Sheikh.

I don’t either, just commenting on the connection between Staveley and the higher ups at City.

Be interesting to see if they can attract players instantly if the takeover happens. I'm sure players will be willing to go there (a club with a full stadium in the Premier League) but will they get the right players?

We went through a fair few shite before getting the gems who let us attract what we needed.
We must have got it right in many more cases than we got it wrong, otherwise, we wouldn’t have reached the heights we did so quickly.

Wonder how much they’ll spend in January. Now get the feeling we’re gonna have to rely on Southampton or Burnley being shitter than us now.

FFP will be lifted soon thanks to super league.
Also depends on what happens to the "new owners rule"
Remember UEFA added a rule which allowed new owners to break ffp, provided their business plan brought them into line within ?3 years. (Buyers of the Milan clubs complained that they could not pick up those falling clubs within ffp).
With any luck, Saudis will be able to blow the red shirts off the planet.
And, I think, we will finally have a powerful ally in the PL.
5 years from now, City, Chelsea and Newcastle will be the power in the land.
BYE BYE Raggies. Tee hee.
Sorry, mustn't laugh at their predicament. Arf, arf.

Don't forget that the FFP rules will prevent them from investing in the way our owners did. It will have to be a long-term project
Don’t think so, they can invest what they like as long as they don’t get into UEFA comps. Plus the sponsorships will flood in, what’s fair value sponsorship for a premier league club?
