the first battle they have is to keep them up,they have some very hard fixtures between now and xmas, can see them firmly rooted at the bottom come then, they may be able to buy themselves out of it in Jan or
they may well end up going down with a billion in the bank

Rags and Scousers saying government should get involved and shut down the takeover.

Good luck with that you thick morons.
(From Wikipedia)

2021 analysis by the CAAT revealed that the British government financed more than £17 billion worth of weapons to nearly 70% of the world's worst human rights abusers, such as Egypt, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Thailand and Turkey

Lived in Newcastle the last 7 years, always keen for them to stay up so I can get to the City away games.
Also went with a United fan when they grabbed a 3-3 draw against United and the pain they caused him led me to quite like them as a club.

The more competition in the league the better IMO, hopefully they invest in the area also like our owners have.

Not sure I can see a way for them to really catch up though, we were the last team to slip in before the FFP door got shut (much to the annoyance of UEFA and rivals) - it was seemingly put in place to stop teams doing what we did and catching the other clubs that feel entitled to success, this feels like the first team that now really have to clout to test that and will be interesting to see whether they can work around it.

Fcuk me they’ll sell him too for 150m and they’ll live of that like they lived if the coutinho money

they will not be allowed buy players like that and the FFP will be revamped next week
it took manchester city 3 seasons to build a team and that was before FFP

so yes its good news for newcastle and the fans but the dream that £billions will be spent will not happen
