the first battle they have is to keep them up,they have some very hard fixtures between now and xmas, can see them firmly rooted at the bottom come then, they may be able to buy themselves out of it in Jan
It’s a weird one. The no hopers they have playing for them now are gonna be asked to pull their tripe out so that they can stay up and then all be replaced by better players

My overriding emotion is delight; I’m delighted that football has finally (hopefully!) seen the last of the obese Cockney and delighted that there will (also hopefully) be another club to challenge for top four and, therefore, Champions League places, thus putting the red shirts' noses out of joint.

There is a Newcastle supporter at work. He’s a decent lad, and I’m pleased for him.

I remember chatting to some Geordies in the Whitworth before we played the Barcodes at Maine Road, and they were all sound lads. Obviously, I don’t know if their attitudes towards us changed post-takeover, but it was an enjoyable hour or so.

Rags and Scousers saying government should get involved and shut down the takeover.

Good luck with that you thick morons.
(From Wikipedia)

2021 analysis by the CAAT revealed that the British government financed more than £17 billion worth of weapons to nearly 70% of the world's worst human rights abusers, such as Egypt, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Thailand and Turkey

its a dark day for both united and liverpool and their safety net of top 6 european football
i did wonder why uefa brought in the new Europa Conference League ? now i know

Unironically the Conference league is a nice thing for minnow countries to have a comp they can realistically win

they may well end up going down with a billion in the bank
I can feel a song coming on :)

True that. I was thinking the only Newcastle player I could remember is Saint-Maximin. They’re a team of nobodies and I bet hardly any of them are there this time next year.

It’ll be interesting to see who they can attract, I’m guessing huge salaries will be required to persuade players currently living in Paris and Spain and London to move up there.

Amazing review on BBC NE just now..........praising City for investment and growth in the East of the city and the jobs it brings..........from the BBC !! They are hoping Newcastle get the same growth and help but suddenly we are flavour of the month.

I'll miss Carol Malia and the crew next week as the programme is replaced with a half hour test card and I have to watch local news on ITV
