96 minutes, actually. 45+2 first half and 45+4 second halfPhil was amazing in parts but for the 92 minutes, Ake for me. Made some vital tackles and block that actually kept us in it, and was great going forward as well, contributing to the 2nd goal.
Outstanding throughout.

I thought it was quite close between Aké and Akanji.
Aké played well in defence and attack, but I just felt if Akanji wasn't switched on, we'd have been overloaded on the right as Walker and Foden don't cover the right as well as Aké and Grealish.
With that in mind, I went for Akanji even if he got beaten once that I can remember.
Attack is always a given for MotM in these things.

Foden and Grealish were great in attack and I love them either side of Haaland.
Aké Dias and Walker were great at the back and Bernardo was good when he came on.
But Rodri was MOTM today. He bossed that midfield.

The defence proved to be proof against the bird shit the Magpies would splat on us. Ake was good, Dias was assured, Akanji gave me palpitations, but I thought Walker was back to his best, apart from the goal! Can't understand why he's only got a handful of votes.
