Kova was very good but Philip Walter Foden was exceptional today. What we've all been waiting to see against a very good Toon side. Go on Philip lad.

No; it wasn't. I was sat in 230, near the corner of the Colin Bell and the North Stand. There were empty seats in the north stand going into injury time.

None in the much maligned CB3, certainly better than it has been for previous games in the rest stadium. There is generally a mass Exodus on 75-80 mins. I saw none of that although I was admittedly watching the game so was caught by surprise when we got to 90 mins.

Sky is the limit, easy choice also thought Kova had a belter.

I’ve said since his first season, Foden has the ability to be the best player on the planet.

Put him central and he’s unplayable unless you boot him all over the show.

Only one winner here - Foden was dangerous every time the ball came to him ... but Kovacic was also good.

We need a big season from him with the lack of creativity while kev is injured.
And tonight he was top draw CTID
