Newcastle v City - Official match thread

If we sort our passing out we will hit these on the counter and score at least one more. They are getting more and more open and pushing up high. It's now where we miss a real pacey player to sit on the shoulders of the back four.

Balo or Johnson might come on later and exploit the gaps....

I didn't see the Everton game, and optimism is always loose talk around here, but it feels like we're playing like we're playing today more and more often, even with different line-ups and different formations. We can play it around in triangles in the middle, we have a very good breakaway attack, decent pace here and there, good sub options, growing understanding between players and of their roles and some individuals are having a great run of form.

Now there'll be a volcano erupt under COMS of course, having said that.

Yaya is great going forward but suspect defensively I feel.
well at least commentators have stopped calling him a dm

Yaya isn't a DM.

Mancini is now able to employ him where he feels he can do the most damage...as an AM; and quite rightly so.

We have Barry and De Jong as DM, so Yaya doesn't have to worry about that job.

we need to hold possession a little better and complete the passes.
TBF we aint play liked we deserve the 2 up lead but we will do if we sort out the misplaced passing and mistakes.
