Players very rusty but our quality shone through in the end. Going to be a few matches before we are back up to full speed.

Fair play to Magpies, good game. Liked their winger with the freaky haircut. Sissoko good as well.

Fernando a great debut, he really is the Octopus. Clichy played so well out of position.

Jovetic poor. Nothing like the preseason. Twitching in all directions yet going nowhere most of the time.

Liked how Tyler thought that Newcastle deserved more but didnt have a shot on target all game. Didnt get out of second gear and still won away from home, nice 3 points, stuff of champions.

Tyler was desperate for a goal in injury time. Just not for City.

Always looked a class apart. The only time they looked dangerous was when we gifted them the ball. Need to tighten up the tackling ,its too easy for a bad ref to give yellows..
