Surprised Stones is the front runner on here. If we replace Kompany does he even play
Sterling has to be in the consideration. Has been in the public eye since he was a teenager, has dealt with a ton of adversity off the pitch, rarely injured and always one of the first names on the match day squad, great role model, incredible professionalism, on the leadership committee for the national team, signed long-term, etc.. There are a lot of reasons to consider him.

He's a born leader and while I agree that we already have team of leaders, I think he'd quickly become club captain.
