Next Captain

Has to be David. Him hopefully lifting the Premier league trophy and or the Champions league in his last season for the club will be a fitting way to say good bye to a legend.

The fact that Pep is happy to let the players pick the captain suggests that he doesn’t think the on field role is that important. Perhaps he sees it as more a liaison role, an intermediary between the players and the management. In which case it would be more important to pick someone with a strong voice in the dressing room.

I have a feeling it'll be Dave this year. Sergio next. Our players understand their contributions to the club and their last seasons with us will be a fitting tribute.

In case you hadn't noticed, most captains are fiery. After Vinnie, I would say Kev is the most fiery one.

That's such pathetic logic. I wouldn't even say many other captains are fiery?

Henderson - no
Lloris - no
Morgan - no
Young - no
Azpilicueta - no

You could argue that the old school Keane/Viera captains were, but that was decades ago.
