Next Captain

Kevin De Bruyne. 100% passion and effort every game. No one wants to win each game more than he does. The determination he showed to get to that ball first to set up the third goal against Villa showed how driven he is.
 
Some of the comments have changed my mind from Ruben to Kev. His presence in the games where you need a leader to come to the fore has increased year on year. No slight on Ruben, who is leadership material and I’m sure will be a great captain of the future. Gundo a bit short-term, so wouldn’t pick him for it but I do love him and, if able, would have his babies.

I know what you mean but, imo, defenders have a better view of what's going on ahead of them than midfielders, particularly attacking midfielders

Of course, as an ex-central defender, I would say that!
 
I think Dias primarily because I don't think Kev wants it. I don't know whether Gundog will still be here given his comments around game time.
 
Didn’t tell KdB he thought he wasn’t really the type to be captain for the full season?

Anyways no problem with Dias, KdB, or Gundogan if the latter stays. And these three in no particular order.

Tbf I can’t name a 4th from the current squad.
