Next James Bond?

The versatile Scott Adkins is in the frame.

He's certainly gotten better as an actor and his martial arts skills are second to none onscreen. He would have no problem with the action scenes, but he's not a draw to the screen as he's spent too many years as a stunt co-ordinator/ D list actor, plus too old at this point.

However, he's certainly an interesting option!

Bullshit

Batman HAS the chance to murder every time he steps out but he DOESN'T. He wouldn't bother putting them away if he didn't believe in justice!!

Also remember Bruce Wayne he runs a massive company in Gotham city that tries to give jobs to people in Gotham. Why do this if not to help people from pursuing a life of crime?

Bond is more of a sociopath. I think he enjoys killing and fucking women and ditching them

Wait, when did Bond become tired?...

I thought I'd drop this here; a humorous/ light-hearted take on 'The Batman' using the film franchise and not the DC comic canon. I wonder what he'd make of the actual comic books as they're turned up 10x in darkness.

Idris Elba is far too physically imposing to play Bond

Dev Patel would be fantastic I think but he’s not interested supposedly

Whoever it is they will probably be looking for more than 5 films in 16 years so someone younger who isn't going to be delaying and putting things off because of the physical demands/injuries like Craig was.

Also they've been pursuing a "one last job", "coming out of retirement", "I'm too old for this shit" plot line for the past 3 films which is going to get pretty stale soon so a young up and coming 007 is needed to refresh things so you can't cast a 40+ year old.

@Del_Bosque's shout of Dev Patel would be an incredible casting, maybe he just needs a bit of persuading like Craig did - IIRC it took the Broccoli's 2 years to wear him down.

Whoever it is, I hope they learn from the successes of the last 3 films and the Marvel Cinematic universe and realise how much better the films can be if they have storylines that span multiple films. I thought No time to Die was excellent because Spectre established many of the characters. You still want them to appeal to newcomers, but I'd love to see them sign writers or directors to multi-film deals as well as the new Bond.

* I get that, totally! But, also, I wouldn't like the same guy playing the same role over a lengthy span. Which is why I like the idea of making 'Bond' a codename for any male agent of the necessary rank/ pathway that could still be offed and respawned as someone else.

But that's my own personal thoughts on keeping the franchise and actors fresh rather than seeing both jaded affairs after a while.

** I would fear for Patel's life/ career should he accept the challenge. Lots of people's head would explode and the collective frothing would be unmanageable!!

On the plus side of that, though, I would invest in Tiki torches following any such announcement of courage...
