Think Danilo should play LB anyway Salah likes to cut inside meaning Danilo could defend on his strong side.
As for Sterling, of course he starts. Can’t remember which game last season but Robertson I believe fouled him in the box, clear penalty not given and that game played well overall. Also the season before I believe at Anfield, Milner fouled him in the box another clear penalty not given.
I felt Sane was worse in the Liverpool games last season actually, apart from that wonderful goal. We were all expecting him to embarrass Alexander-Arnold but he failed to even have a go at him.

Yes that’s the goal I was referring too. Still want him to start, just hoping he tries to take on the fullback more often.

Sterling is in the form of his life, confidence must be sky high. He's got to play
Hopefully they got that screamer last Saturday. Sterling has played well lately and deserves a start despite past experiences. Agree with the assessment that we can get at their fullbacks and so Sane and Sterling make sense. Very concerned that Fern will get strangled in midfield and would worry about the left full back position. Someone mentioned Laporte but did he not start there in the CL match at Klanfield? I think with a bit of luck we can get a draw or even a rare victory if we can score first. If Kun is not fully fit maybe a false 9 might be an option as Jesus is wandering around like a lost soul these days.
If Kun isn’t fit I’d go Mahrez, Sterling and Sane.
Keep interchanging Sterling and Mahrez as the false 9.
Hopefully Guardiola has timed Mendy's ban in such a way (i.e., last week) that he won't alienate other members of the squad by playing him on Sunday.
I'm sure there will be some brinkmanship in his press conference on Friday, pushing the line that Mendy isn't fit yet to keep Klopp on his toes.
