I can see Hart having the game of his life against us for Burnley. What's the odds on us camping in their half all game peppering his goal, then they nab the ball off us and it's 1-0 to them?

I'm glad Joe's getting his reputation back at Burnley but they really shouldn't offer any threat to us. As a team they aren't as good as last year, and our defence has gotten so good at stopping counterattacks that teams are almost not trying anymore.

Looking at their current form, I think Arsenal will have a bigger say on the top 4 or 6 than originally thought. Glad we played them when we did.

Arsenal are flattering to deceive a bit. Their wins vs. Newcastle, Watford and Everton were all games they probably would have lost on another day, where they gave up massive chances and got lucky. They will score goals vs. the poor sides, but unless Emery fixes the defensive issues, eventually those mid table sides with better forwards (ie Leicester, Wolves, Bournemouth who are all coming up) will put their chances away.

I think they'll get 70-75 points and whether that's enough for the top 4 will be up to Spurs.

Need to be playing with the mentality of solid defence in the big away games against top 6 teams and beating them by being more expansive at home.

We have 20 points from the first 8 games. Our next 8 include away trips to Spurs and Chelsea and a home game against the Rags. Two draws in those and 6 wins would put us on 40 points from 16 games and we will be top by a good few points as games are coming thick and fast in all competitions. 90 should win the league and to be on 40 from 16 games having been away to Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool we would be in an excellent position to retain the title.

De Bruyne returning is a huge boost. In his absence we haven't suffered as much as I thought we would. Gundogan and Bernardo have both shown they can perform in the centre of the park and the only question we really have is who drops out to accommodate De Bruyne in our strongest 11. I would like to see a DM player secured in Jan to help ease the burden on Fernandinho but think we should try De Bruyne in the defensive pivot in some home games with Silva and Bernardo to rest him and see how effective it is.

Typical City is always waiting round the corner to bite our arse mate. I remember several seasons ago when we played Bolton at ours. We hit the woodwork 6 times and they scored from their only chance of the game iirc.

That said, I think we'll win at Burnley: )

Hit woodwork five times.Dunne handball,Gary Speed put the penalty away.

Unbelievable......

Next 5.......

Burnley (h)
Shakhtar (a)
Spurs (a)
Fulham (h) LC
Southampton (h)

Should be straight forward enough, Only one can see any probs is spurs, always difficult playing away especially after an away European tie

I would think we can comfortably get all 12 points though maybe have to settle for 10.

It was my shift to get the first round of the post-match beers that day. After hitting the woodwork for the 5th time I'd decided we weren't going to score. It was going to end 0-0. Left a few minutes early to beat the rush at Mary Ds to find out we'd lost to a penalty as I was getting the round in. Got myself an extra pint.
