Next League Games

Wolves (H) is our postponed game due to the now FA Cup Quarter Final against Everton that weekend ... and Saints (H) was postponed due to Carabao Cup Final at the end of April ... both are being slotted in the two free mid-weeks around the Manchester derby on the 6th March so one of them will be on 2/3 March and other on 9/10th ... announcement is expected tomorrow (was expected earlier today but hasn't come yet as they are sorting a quite a few postponed games in those two midweeks) - as also slipped by Roy Hodgson in his presser when he said "We're being threatened with a game in between Fulham and Tottenham against Manchester United, I don't know whether that's been ratified as yet, but it's been mooted as a possibility." So just points to PL preponing those FA Cup QF weekend fixtures instead of postponing.

As for us, Pep already confirmed our two fixtures in the pre-match interview last night if you missed it ... he was asked about dropping John Stones and this was his reply (word for word, I have just transcribed for you by playing his video clip again):

"If you see the schedule we had in November, December, January, we’re in the FA Cup, Carabao Cup, Champions League to the end, and you see the schedule we have at the end of February and especially all March when Premier League included two more games in that period, against Wolves and Southampton, we don’t have one week off so everybody is going to play. Today is this decision and against Arsenal we’re going to play new ones.”

So be patient ... it's not on BBC or club's website yet as it's not been announced by Premier League officially yet, which they will do along with the TV schedules for March fixtures. Hopefully tomorrow!

here @jayfx

i saw this later. he has again spelled it for you and anyone who dont know where those two fixtures are coming from in the next five for us.

Game that really jumps out as a potential banana skin aside from the obvious is west Ham. Playing at 12 30 on the Saturday so soon after a tough champs league away game is always tricky especially as West Ham have the week off
If they play like they did against the dippers a couple of weeks back or the rags in the Cup it will be a practice game at best. Still I take your point about them being fresh.

I'm guessing the family didn't want to delay the funeral, although I don't think he would've been allowed by Liverpool to take 17+ days off either
They’ve already set a precedent for this though.

Literally played a completely different squad and manager for a cup game they couldn’t be arsed playing in last season.

They want klopp to be there but only when it suits them

Bollocks. We win them all. Probably. And then the next five and then ...
A freak game will, beat us. VAR, opposition worldies, bad luck in front of goal from us. That’s it, no team can live with us at the moment.
best English team ever and it still hasn’t reached its peak.

I'm extremely sorry. This has obviously bothered you a great deal, so in future, I'll make sure I read every single post in a thread before leaving a comment. In this case, I appreciate you spending time going back and searching for this post for me. Thank you and my apologies again.

i was simply pointing out information already there. you ignored it second time and posted same old five fixtures without reading even after i had pointed out. its ok happens.

So next five fixtures for us (after the latest announcement and as expected) now are:

Arsenal (A)
West Ham (H)
Wolves (H)
Man Utd (H)
Southampton (H)

Four home games in a row after this weekend against Arsenal!

Next two then after that on either side of the international break are:

Fulham (A)
Leicester (A)

@jayfx ;-)

Next 6 before the international break:

Arsenal (A)
West Ham (H)
Wolves (H)
Man Utd (H)
Southampton (H)
Fulham (A)

A real opportunity to extend our lead as we play a game more than United in this period, four of which are at home. I know it's not the advantage it used to be with no fans but I think there's still a slight advantage.

Capable of winning all them obviously. Would take 14 points now though.

would put us on 70 after 30, which would only be 4 points off the same stage in 18/19, 7 points better off than the same stage last season and identical to 2011/12, so you'd be looking an 85+ if we were at 70 at that point.

Next 4 PL games at home, West Ham be a tough one as we had a late Sun game today before our Wed CL game and then chosen for the early Sat game v West Ham. But won’t hear Pep moaning about not help from the TV companies like other certain managers

Next 5 before the international break:

West Ham (H)
Wolves (H)
Man Utd (H)
Southampton (H)
Fulham (A)

If we win all of them we would equal the PL consecutive wins record of 18 currently held by us and Liverpool.

And if we do manage it then our chance to break it would come away at Leicester.

After tonight uniteds next four are the rest of the top 5!

West Ham could be the hardest game we've had in our run

But win it and we go 13 points clear before anybody else plays. What more incentive do we need
