I'm sure City will also keep tabs on the likes of Vincent Kompany, Patrick Vieira, Enzo Maresca, Elano, Ange Postecoglou, Patrick Kisnorbo, Giovanni van Bronckhorst, Pablo Machín, Sergio Lobera and even Frank Lampard, to see how they develop as coaches, with ties with the CFG already.

Pablo Machin? : /

More chance of Mel Machin coming back!

If you look at the past 12 years there’s hardly been a clubs’ decision that’s come off badly. Super League aside.
I think people underestimate how difficult it is what we have done as a club. A full decade of winning silverware and challenge in every competition possible. So we can discuss a new manager or new players. Or whatever is concerning our club. We all know or should know we will come out fine with the vision from Abu Dhabi. Mind you, it’s not blind faith. The Super League decision proved that. But do we need to worry? No. Or at least I don’t. Not even from the moment Pep says goodbye.

Jeez - "a blot on his copybook"
  • Pep just won his third Premier League title with us.
  • It now means he's won a trophy every 24 games during his managerial career.
  • Pep has won 10 trophies with City. comfortably more than any other City manager
As a fan base, some of us are getting very entitled and on the current success, the older generations, of which i am one, would have literally only ever dreamed of the current success in the past! WTF can we all not just enjoy the incredible ride we are on?
Yes. the CL will be nice WHEN it comes, but i am more than content with what we have right now and what we will have more of in the years to come.
What an incredible time to be a City fan ............... at last !!!
Fkin enjoy it FFS !!! :-)

I am the older generation but the continual need to spout the bollocks line of we used to be crap doesn't stop being well erm pretty crap.

Only our name has any semblance left of what we were in the 80s 90s and 00's as a club.

As stated in another post the bit you fail to mention is at Barca and City he built the Lamborghini, it was not given to him. The year he took over he had a side which had only just qualified for the Champs lge (on goal difference) and 3 pts above Southampton and was at the bottom of the running stats along with the relegated Aston Villa. It was a tired side he took over and even players like Sterling/KDB/Fernandinho were shadows of the players that they are now.

He must be very wealthy I never knew he bought the parts for the lambo. Cheers Pep.

Pep is the driver and he is very good at telling the team bosses how to shave time off a lap. He has 3 of the top 5 times at Silverstone.

Keeps blowing a head gasket at Monaco mind:-)

let be honest here ? life after pep will be up to the owners and investment. when you have the right people running the club and give any manager a world class team life is easy. yes i know it still takes a good manager to form them into a team. but i does not half help if the players are good enough in the first place

i am more worried about the owners and when they leave than pep

Let me ask you this. Are you happy with how we've done under Pep ? Is there another manager around that you think that could've done better ?

A) yes domestically no in Europe

B) impossible to answer

I pretty sure I have said he has done well and never indicated he wasn't a very good coach.
