Next Manager after Pep

If Rodgers hadn't talked such utter and constant shite as a younger man he'd be regarded as one of the best in the world.

I'd take him.

Weirdly it feels like there's a bit of chasm between great managers on their way out and young ones who've not quite got it together yet. Maybe Tuchel and Nagelsmann were the exception but they're probably the two most secure on the planet now. Zidane could be an interesting option?

In other news Pep has just said “what I actually said about leaving was, after my period at Manchester City I will take a break. But this could be in two months if they sack me, in two years or five years if I sign for longer. I have no desires to leave Manchester City at the moment”

No way Brendan. I dont think he has proved himself yet. Easyish to do well when you manage one ofn the only two teams who win anything in scotland. He didnt achieve enough with lfc with an awful lot of resources, even bought Balotelli, but also some other drift wood that Klopp was still getting rid of. I just dont think he's as good as reported.

Anyway, 2 years from now the scene would be very different. Tuchel might have been found out, Poch might be the one winning everything, Nuno might prove himself at spurs, anything!

Whoever it is, I am looking fw to it.

Brilliant that he clarified his position. Could still leave after 2 years but did not rule out extending, just shows how quotes can be misused

Wouldn't mind Arteta back tbf he's been a bit of a meme at Arsenal but they're a bit of a meme club - not strictly his fault.

2023 is a far away. New names will emerge, some of the bigger names will falter. Who knows but..

In my opinion the favorites should be:
- Luis Enrique- Stylistically the best option.
- Antonio Conte- Rigid formation but proven winner

Others to consider:
- Brendan Rogers
- Marcelo Biesla

Random names:
- Marco Rose: Personally a big fan
- Erik ten Hag: Part of the Barca/Ajax/Cruyff connection
- Paulo Fonseca: Underrated and talented manager.
- Simone Inzaghi: Want to see what he does at Inter
- Graham Potter: Best English manager currently.
- Marcelo Gallardo: Best manager in South America for me, tactically anyway.
- Hernan Crespo: Has been really impressive managing in Brazil.

Whoever it is it’ll be completely different. The best thing to do is not worry about it and try and enjoy the football we are about to play over the next few years.
