Next Rail Strikes Announced.

£2 on the bus each way. Buses are the future.
The buses are good in London. Very clean, proper announcements of stops and destinations over the speakers, very frequent, very cheap (£1.75 for any return journey, in that huge city!).

I hear Stagecoach are on strike. The general public should go on strike from using their buses they’re so filthy and unreliable.

Hopefully the new buses for Greater Manchester that will be citywide by January 2025 will be like they are in London.

The Sheffield to Manchester service is one of the worst in the country...frequent last minute cancellations and over crowded one of the companies TPE? Has been taken back over by government.

TPE are still a sick joke ... got to wait until at least 9pm to find out what Edinburgh to Manchester trains are cancelled tomorrow.

Not quite for a return journey, but £1.75 covers change of bus, if necessary, within an hour of first 'tap'.
So likely £3.50rtn, or daily fares capped at £5.25 if you really want an all-day tour.

If, like me, you are approaching FOCdom, you can get an Oyster60 for just a tenner a year covering all zones all transport (train, tube, tram, bus), but you need to prove London residency to get one. Amazing tho... a pre freedom-pass (65+) pass...

ASLEF and RMT are just as bad as each other, all mates too I bet.

When will this bill be implemented in which operators still need to run a minimum staff when they go on strike?.

Do you think its fair that workers have not had a pay rise in 4 years? while in that time the cost of living has gone through the roof and staff have seen an approx drop in real wages of 20%?

Are you also happy to see a railway that doesn't cater for the needs of the vulnerable and doesn't have enough staff to ensure the safety and wellbeing of passengers is paramount?

If you're employer was being directed by the government to CUT your pay significantly and increase your hours/workload would you accept it? Would you fuck.

Don't we have a substandard network already anyway ?
