What we can probably expect if we get 4th is Middlesboro away in their first home PL game 48 hours after playing away to somebody in Kazhaskstan in the CL play off.
Mancini's never out of Italy for management before City too though. Only difference is Conte's been at Italy for entirety of his playing and managerial career.top 4 at best, he has a very big task and I'm not sure will be able to adapt his style having never been out of italy

If we go out of either or both of those competitions early on so much the better, we can then give the FA Cup a good bash as early rounds do not clash with league matches.
Make certain we defend well in matches against our main rivals and put the lower team to the sword especially away from home instead of fannying around.
Sign a top class fullback, central defender, midfield enforcer, playmaker and goal scorer - five players needed as a minimum requirement.

I'd like to keep expectations relatively low for the next couple of seasons as Pep has a large rebuild ahead of him.
Top 3 and either domestic cup would be a successful season. Top 3 and no cup would be a par performance.
If he can win us the league then great but it would take a big turnaround from this season.
Lets not set Pep up to fail by setting the bar too high. In that way we may be pleasantly surprised.

Hoping for a decent tilt at the title but not expecting anything with the work Guardiola has to do with this squad. Might be 2 years before we are in a position to win it again.
2 years to win the title when we are probably going to be the biggest spending this summer with the best manager in the world. On the back of season where we have been unlucky in some respects and in others have under performed but still fished 4th won a cup and done better in Europe. I would be think we would win it this year let alone next
