Next Season Priorities - 2024/25

Runaway with the league then we are fresher for the later stages in the champions league.
It's so mentally taxing being in a title race to the last day of the season
My thoughts exactly. I think that's why we did the Treble last season, as we had won league early May, and so relaxed a bit drawing at Brighton, losing at Brentford but remained focused. Plus enough time for Pl ' celebratory drinks' out of system by time of FA Cup final and Champs League 10 June.

Real never have this pressure.

Priorities:
- League 1st
- Champions Leage 2nd
- FA Cup 3rd (I'd prefer this 2nd but I know the club have different priorities).

Transfers:
- Replacements for those who choose to leave.
- fast fullback (Alphonso Davies - Bayern Munich)
- Quality DM to give Rodri time off (Joao Neves - Benfica)
- Top Quality AM (???)

Tactics:
- Knock the ball long on occasion for Haaland to run on to. This will keep the opposition honest and stop the deep press and 2 defenders primed go deploy to the flanks to defend our attacks.
- Improve Transition
- improve dealing with with oppositon fast runners.
- Dont rely on just fulbacks for width again, ever.

Season (pre Feb):
- 40 points
- Qualify for Champions League KO stage
- Play Bobb more as RW More frequently.

Rest of season:
- No point guessing till we see where we are at Chrismas.
- We will be totally knackered for the start of the following season with the new format World Club Championship next June (so strategy for this)
To beat the press we need a second Doku. Someone who can keep the right as occupied as the left and can beat their man.

Really want both domestic cups.
League - top four more than acceptable.
Champions League - just go for it and see where we end up.

It's usually good to be competing full on to the the end of the season as it gives you that competitive edge. I beleive we lost that in the season Chelsea beat us in the Champions league final having rapped up the title early. I think the aim should be to win as many as possible and see where it takes us. Prioritising competitions isn't a smart way to go as you could end up with nothing.
